Tessarakonta -- Day 34

34th Day, Saturday, April 12, 2014

According to Webster’s Dictionary, “transmutation” is “the conversion of one element into another”.  According to Charles Fillmore, it means “change in character, from one phase to another; the lifting up of mind and body, from material aspect to spiritual character.”

In consciousness, transmutation is a changing in action and character to conform to Spiritual Standards.  It is done in the mind as we change our thoughts from earthly appearances to Divine Ideals.  This is a conscious act; we must deliberately choose Divine Ideals.  Otherwise, we continue to be created from the human race thoughts of sin, sickness and death.

Jesus said that all power was given to him in heaven and in earth.  He manifested this power when he multiplied a few loaves and fishes to feed more than 5,000 people.  When we attempt to confine the Divine Law to the customary avenues of expression and scoff at anything beyond, we are like the Pharisees, which metaphysically represent limited thoughts.  But when we raise our mind up through affirmations of Truth, we are contemplating God’s Omnipresent Substance and Life, and we are not only fed, but we experience surplus.

Limitation is what the world agrees upon; Boundless Good is what the Divine knows.  We can choose which thoughts we dwell upon, and when we move from agreeing with the human masses, we may experience the delight of transmutation of our world into something wonderful.

TODAY'S PRACTICAL IDEA:  What can I change in my physical surroundings to be in greater agreement with my desired Good?
