Tessarakonta -- Day 29

29th Day, Monday, April 7, 2014

Whether one is patient or not depends on one’s view of life.  If one only sees oneself as this material world, or as their human personality, one lacks the qualities that go to make up patience.

Charles Fillmore tells us that patience is a state of mind that beholds the world from the harmony of the Divine Mind; it is a freedom from personal thinking.  It is an attitude of mind characterized by poise, calmness and a quiet restful trust, especially in the face of trying conditions.  It has its foundation in Love.

The first requirement to the development of patience is Spiritual Understanding.  The larger our vision of Life, the more freedom we feel, and we are spared the friction and frettings that come to us when we are centered in personality.

When we understand that Life is Eternal, that we are Infinite, we stop judging ourselves from our little concerns and tiny conditions.  When we start identifying ourselves in terms of endless opportunities and a timeless experience, what we do today is seen as a infinitesimal speck within a Grand and Glorious Book called our lives.

When my thoughts are in harmony with the Law of our Being, I find I can see from that Divine Perspective and with sweet, kind thoughts, I can love myself while I use my thoughts to develop my body and my world into the perfect manifestations of Divine Ideals.

MY FAVORITE AFFIRMATION: God's in Its Heaven; All's right with my world.
